Kon Wapos Lodge Achieves 'Thriving' Status
Kon Wapos Lodge achieved “Thriving” status in 2023. The lodge is evaluated each year with the national performance measurement program used for all lodges in the country. The lodge has met the high standards for membership, service to the council and other categories to qualify. Kon Wapos also achieved “Thriving” status in 2022.
Unit Elections and Unit Visitations Begin Soon
Order of the Arrow unit visitation teams are preparing to meet with Scout and Venturing units in the council. Unit leaders will be contacted soon to schedule time for a visit from OA members during February through April.
Unit visitation teams will attend one of your regularly scheduled unit meetings to share information about the Order of the Arrow, update members about new summer camp opportunities and conduct an Order of the Arrow election in those units that have youth eligible for election into the OA. The OA Unit Representative and Unit Adviser in each unit will assist the visiting OA members with the visitation and election.
After units have a unit election for youth, the committee will be given instructions on how to nominate adults for membership. Nominations are submitted to the lodge. The lodge adult selection committee will review nominations for approval.
Contact the lodge adviser with questions.
