Gathering Waters District Fall Camporee 2024

This fun-filled Lumberjack themed Camporee weekend will be held in the beautiful northern setting of the Gardner Dam Adventure Base, October 11th-13th, 2024.  A big thanks goes out to our Wesmianiw OA Chapter, for organizing and running this year’s Fall Camporee!

The activities planned for Saturday will incorporate team building and scout skills.  Activities may include: Totem Chip, Paul Bunyan Award, Tomahawk Tossing, Knot Relay, Fire Building, String Burning, and a Compass Course.

We expect to have a great crowd and a fantastic weekend, but for the camporee to be successful, we need YOU!

How can you help?  Above all, come prepared to have fun.  Bring every member of your Troop and Webelos Den to participate. Webelos can camp with a Troop or with their den.  It is a great way to see if the scouts would like to cross over to a specific Troop by camping with them! We want all Webelos to see exactly how much fun it is to join a Scouts BSA Troop. 

The leaders guide will be posted to this site as soon as it is finished. Cost will be $15.00 per person and this will be a Patrol Cooking event.  Make sure to plan out your meals, bring food and cooking equipment for your Troops.  The traveling Golden Spatula will be up for grabs on Saturday, so have those contest recipes ready for dinner on Saturday!  An event patch will be given out to all participants. 

In addition to a fun Fall Camporee event, Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Training (IOLS), will be provided for adult leaders.  Leaders will be eating with the IOLS group and would not be able to provide leadership to their units.  IOLS participants can tent and sleep in their units campsites.  For more information and to register for the IOLS course, click on this link.  https://scoutingevent.com/635-IOLS
