Lodge Chief Mydasia Z., Owen B., Vice-chief Inductions Anthony B. representing Kon Wapos Lodge at the Section Council of Chiefs. They met the new National OA Chief, helped plan the section conclave and had fun in the waterpark.

The Section Council of Chiefs, including our lodge chief, Mydasia Z. voted to approve this new Section logo. As a result of the recent national restructuring Section C-1B was renamed “Section G10”. For more information on the name change and restructuring, visit SectionG10.org.

Arctic Adventure at Gardner Dam Adventure Base – 2 weekends
Feb. 4-6 (REGISTER BY JAN. 31) and Feb. 18-20 (REGISTER BY FEB. 14)
Winter adventure weekends for Scouts BSA & Venturers at Gardner Dam Adventure Base. Outdoor winter activities: cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, sew fleece items, make your own pair of snowshoes, winter games, build a snow shelter, winter camping option, indoor bouldering wall and more. Indoor lodging. Hearty meals served in the new multi-purpose building. Individuals can register. Better yet, find a buddy or two and bring a group. Register by Jan. 31st for the first weekend. Register by Feb. 14 for the second weekend.
Arctic Adventure Ice Climbing Based Out of Camp Hiawatha
Feb. 18-20 (REGISTER BY JAN. 31)
Looking for another winter adventure. Try ice climbing in the Upper Peninsula. Participants will base out of Camp Hiawatha and ice climb in Munising on Saturday. Check out the Ice Climbing Flyer. More details at the Arctic Adventure page.

Polar Cubs at Gardner Dam Adventure Base – youth & adult volunteers needed for staff
Feb. 11-13 and Feb. 25-27
Cub Scout winter activity program on Saturday at Gardner Dam Adventure Base. OA members can volunteer to help during the weekend by staffing activity stations and helping with other tasks. Indoor lodging and food provided. Contact the lodge adviser with questions and to join the Polar Cubs staff.
STEM Pi Day – adult volunteers needed for staff

Maple Syrup Open House at Bear Paw Scout Camp – need OA members to serve as staff
March 19
The Maple Syrup Open House at Bear Paw is expected to have more than 500 people attending. The event is open to Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturers, parents, family and the public. OA members are needed to staff activity stations during the day. Breakfast, lunch and end of day treat provided to staff. There is no cost to staff. Contact the lodge adviser with questions and to join the Maple Syrup Open House staff.
OA Spring Fellowship at the Bay-Lakes Convention, KI Center in Green Bay
April 23 (with options for overnight on Friday and Saturday night)
Kon Wapos Lodge will hold our OA Spring Fellowship to be held in conjunction with the 1st Annual Bay-Lakes Council Convention in Green Bay. The OA is planning to have awards for the National Founders Award, Vigil Honor candidates will be called out, past and present lodge and chapter officers will be recognized for their service. In addition, the lodge will conduct training and awareness sessions. Topics include: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Mental Health & Suicide Awareness; Brotherhood Clinic; OA Unit Representative training and orientation. Other special events are being planned.
