LODGE & SECTION LEADERSHIP CHANGE

Congratulations to Kon Wapos Lodge Chief, Mydasia Z., who was elected Section G10 Chief at the Section Conclave.

She has assumed the duties of Section Chief and will represent the 5 lodges in Section G10.

Lodge Vice Chief of Program, Nathan T., will assume the duties of Kon Wapos Lodge Chief and serve in that role through the balance 2022.

Lodge officer elections for 2023 lodge officers will take place at the upcoming Lodge Leadership Development in November.  See below for more information.


LOOKING FOR A CHALLENGE?

We are looking for enthusiastic youth members to serve as lodge officers in 2023.  

Lodge officer elections are scheduled to be held during Lodge Leadership Development, Nov. 11-13 at Gardner Dam Adventure Base. We will elect the following officers: Lodge Chief, Lodge Vice Chief of Program, Lodge Vice Chief of Inductions, Secretary, and Treasurer.  You can learn leadership skills that will also help you in your Scout unit.  Any member (under age 21 through 2023) may apply as a candidate for a lodge office.

LODGE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Nov 11-13, 2022 | Gardner Dam Adventure Base

TRAINING | PLANNING | FOOD | FUN | ACTIVITIES | GAMES | FELLOWSHIP

Lodge Leadership Development is the primary training program for local lodges, providing lodge leadership with the skills needed to plan and run a successful lodge program.  A good amount of fun and fellowship for youth and adults is part of the weekend program.

All OA members (youth and adult) are invited and encouraged to attend.  Lodge Executive Committee members are expected to attend as part of their responsibilities.

Indoor lodging or pitch your tent.


VIGIL HONOR NOMINATIONS

Submit nominations for Vigil Honor.  Brotherhood members with a minimum of 2 years of service are eligible for nomination.  Any member can submit a nomination.

2023 NATIONAL JAMBOREE RALLY NIGHTS

July 14/15-28, 2023 | Summit Bechtel Reserve, West Virginia

Join thousands of Scouts from around the country and the world at Scouting’s premier event.  The Jamboree is 10 days of fun, action, excitement and adventure!  The Bay-Lakes Council Jamboree contingent will be touring in Washington, D.C. before the Jamboree. Register to be a member of the Bay-Lakes Jamboree contingent.  Fund raising opportunities are available.   Scholarships available.

OA members age 16+ at the time of the Jamboree are eligible to apply for a staff position with OA Operation Arrow.  Contact the lodge adviser for more information.

Adults interested in attending the Jamboree can apply to be a leader with the council contingent or as a member of the Jamboree Service Team (staff).

Attend one of the virtual Jamboree Rally meetings via Zoom to learn how you can attend Scouting’s largest event.

Fall Camporee

Oct. 14-16 | Gardner Dam Adventure Base | Hosted by Wesmianiw Chapter

This fun-filled Camporee weekend will be held in the beautiful northern setting of the Gardner Dam Adventure Base, October 14th-16th, 2022. 

The activities planned for Saturday will incorporate team building and scout skills, but with a twist.  The theme for the weekend will be based on Pirates and all the events will be theme-based.  Get ready to find the Pirate’s treasure!

OA members interested in helping with the program, can register and attend with their unit or register as staff if not camping with your unit.


AUTUMN BLAST

Oct. 22, 2022 | Camp Rokilio

OA members provide program support for activity stations at this event for Cub Scouts from approx. 8am-4pm.  Lunch provided.  Need youth and adults.  Contact the lodge adviser with questions.

  • -Balloon animals
  • -Mystery hike
  • -Parachute games
